Racing Into the Night at Asian Le Mans Series Sepang 4H
On the recent weekend, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (A.C.O.) organized the Sepang 4H endurance with the LMP2, the LMP3, and the GT classes. Scheduled to start at 5pm, the race was delayed due to heavy rain right after the grid walk. The race began with a rolling start after 6pm and soon enough the glaring sunset lit up the wet racing circuit with spray trailing behind the streamlined LMP2 and LMP3 cars. If you’ve never been to a LMP2 and LMP3 race, you should check one out. The cars have a low rumble since most of them are running V8s either by Nissan or Gibson. Placing first in the LMP2, LMP3, and GT classes were “Thunderhead Carlin Racing” in a Dallara P217, Team “Graff” in a Norma M30, and team “JLOC” in a Lamborghini Huracan respectively. It was a good race with some really exciting cars to see. The final race in the Asian Le Mans Series 2019/2020 will be held in Buriram on the 23rd of February 2020.
LMP2 first place: Thunderhead Carlin Racing’s Dallara P217
